Vacuum hardening is particularly suitable for precision components with very high requirements
With our new vacuum hardening system, which is equipped with state-of-the-art monitoring technology and precise process control, the results are highly reproducible.
The components are treated at a negative pressure of up to 10-3 bar and at temperatures of up to 1300°C and then quenched with a nitrogen pressure of up to 10 bar.
The vacuum hardening process is often followed by tempering. This process is used to precisely adjust toughness and hardness to determine the individual wear resistance.
