Case Hardening Carbonitriding
With case hardening, the edge of a component is carbonised with a carbon-releasing medium and then quenched. If nitrogen is then added, the process is called carbonitriding.
Advantages
- High surface hardness, tough core
- Improves mechanical characteristics
- Improves resistance to wear and tear
- Increases tensile strength
Materials
- Low-alloy steels
- Case-hardening steels
Available plant sizes
- Length 900 mm, width 600 mm, height 600 mm
