Spectral analysis and deep profil analyses / hardness testing in HRC and HV

Salt bath nitration (Tenifer)
At regular intervals the Tenifer bath has to undergo tests (titration) to ensure values are within desired range.

Metallography and hardness testing:
Each charge contains an additional test piece which is examined metallographically after heat treatment. Evaluation of layer structure is only possible under magnification, this requires a polished surface.
Characteristical Values of heat treatment like surface hardness, nitration
depth and layer structure are examined and documented. Hardness testing referres to low level load. Hardness testing protocols are available if desired.

For surface hardness procedures modern testing facilitys are available.
For end-examination of components a special crack-testing instrument can detect
cracks in all directions using coil-magnetisation and electric current penetration.
